“I love you every day, now I will miss you every day”….Mitch Albom, Author
Sharron Marie Alexis Taylor, 74, of St. Marys, ON who began her life in Hamilton, ON on June 3, 1943 saw her final day here on earth shortly after midnight on January 11, 2018, surrounded by family. Sharron has now joined the love of her life, Larry Taylor who passed away in 2010. She was the beloved Mother to Janine Taylor, Barb (Mike) Morning and Rob Taylor and loving Grandmother to Brock Charlton and Kyle, Ally and Megan Morning. Sharron was daughter to pre-deceased Alex and Hazel Smith, sister to Ronald (Wendy) Smith, Barb (Arnie) Bender and Laura (Rod) Endel. Sharron was equally blessed to be the daughter in law to pre-deceased Eric and Bernice Taylor and is survived by in laws Rob (Cathy) Taylor, Don (Beth) Taylor and Bruce (Sue) Taylor.
Sharron had an adventurous life, with moves from Ontario to British Columbia with her husband Larry by her side and 3 children in tow in 1975 and a return to Ontario again in 1980 with many escapades in between and many more to follow over the years. She and Larry both shared a love for camping, adventure, travelling on their motorcycles and spending time at their cottage with family and friends. She worked as a Registered Nurse in the operating room and emergency room her entire professional career prior to retiring in 1996. Sharron enjoyed nursing and the challenges and rewards that came with such a profession and often liked to speak of her experiences at St. Marys Hospital over the years. For those that knew Sharron well, they knew her professionally as an exceptional nurse and personally for her strength, will and convictions. Sharron’s final months and years were made better by the dedicated staff of Kingsway Lodge and St. Marys Hospital and for that Janine, Barb, Rob and family are forever grateful.
A celebration of Sharron’s life will be held at the St. Marys Golf Course, 769 Queen St E, St. Marys, on January 16th, 2018 between 5-7pm where memories can be shared with close family and friends.
For those that wish, donations to the St. Marys Hospital Foundation will be accepted in Sharron’s name.
