Elva Alice Timms (nee Facey) passed away peacefully at University Hospital, London, on January 18, 2017 at the age of 90. She had a long, full life with her husband Austin Timms, who she missed terribly since his passing in 2013 and will now happily be reunited with. Elva leaves behind her children Marlene Tucker (Douglas) of Barrie, John Timms of London, Shirley Baker (Jeff) of London and Linda Jongeneelen (Jerry) of London. She is also remembered by eight grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren. She was a constant presence in their lives, eager to hear all that was going on with them.
Predeceased by her parents Denzil and Alice Facey, parents-in-law Russell and Rhea Timms and her brother Walter Facey. Elva’s family wish to sincerely thank the staff at Chartwell Residence in London and the staff at LHSC University Hospital for their wonderful care.
Family and friends are invited to the Andrew L. Hodges Funeral Home, 47 Wellington St. South, St. Marys, on Friday, January 20, 2017 for visitation from 1:30 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 2:30 p.m. Rev. Doug Loucks officiating. Interment in St. Marys Cemetery.
Reception following at the Wildstone Restaurant at the Stonewillow Inn, 940 Queen St. East, St. Marys.
