HOW TO PLACE A MEMORIAL DONATION

You may choose to make a donation in memory of a loved one, with our 'Memorial Donations'.

Our Online Donation Form makes placing a donation very convenient to family and friends of the deceased. Once you have chosen to place a donation, you will be required to complete a series of steps to place a donation. Below is a step-by-step guide to placing your donation

Step 1

Select the Online Tribute Funeral Record to whom you wish to place a donation.

Step 2   Select Charity

The Memorial Donations page will load where you can now select the charity of choice. You will see the charities that the family has selected as their preferred charities.

You may also change the charity to any charity that has been entered into the system by the Funeral Home. If you do not see a charity and you would like to recommend one, please click on the Getting Your Charitable Donations Online.

Click on the Select button beside the charitable organization that you would like to make a donation too. (See figure 2)

Step 3  Select Donation Method

Once you have selected the charity that you wish to donate too, you will need to choose the method of your donation:

• Option #1  Mail a check to the charity  Once you have completed the donation process you will be provided information on where to mail your check.
  
  
• Option #2  Mail a check to the Funeral Home - Once you have completed the donation process you will be provided information on where to mail your check.

You can change the organization that you have selected by clicking on the Change Organization button.

Step 4  Select Donation Amount

Now that you have selected the method of your donation, you will need to complete amount that you wish to donate. (see figure 4)

A) We provide you with 4 donation amount options, please select the amount you wish to donate. If you do not see the amount that you wish to donate please use the Other option and fill in the amount that you wish to donate.

• $25.00
• $50.00
• $100.00
• Other: $

B) Next, you will need to select the currency type that you are donating with, Canadian or US.

C) Optional: You may wish to request for further information about the charity that you are donating too. If you select Yes you will receive information by snail mail. If you don’t wish to receive information please select No Thank You.

Step 5  Donor Information
After you have completed the amount you wish to donate, we will now require your information for the donation card, and location to send your receipt too.

• First we ask if you would like us to keep your information on file for future retrieval. Please be assured that we don’t use or share your information with any third party companies. You will require cookies to be enabled to use this feature.
  
  
• Next, complete all necessary fields with your information. Please note that fields with an * requires you to complete that field before submitting your donation.

Step 6  Receipt Information

You have selected the amount you wish to donate and completed your donor info, now we need to know how you wish to have the receipt for your donation sent back to you.

First, select the receipt method that you want:

• Send by e-mail (make sure that you use a valid email address)
• Send by regular mail
• I do not require a receipt

Now select the receipt recipient address:

• Use the same address as above
• I will provide a separate receipt address

Click on Continue once you have completed the receipt information to move the next step.

Step 7  Leave a family message

We have provided for you to leave a condolence (or family message) while you are making a donation. This message will be added to our condolences section.

If you would like to leave a message, please make sure that your name is in the From field and complete your message in the provided box. (See figure 7 below)

We have provided for your convenience a Spell Checker button that you can use to spell check your message before you submit.

Click on Finish when you have completed your family message.

Step 8  Send your donation

After you have completed the donation process, the final step is to follow the on screen instructions:

• Print the default donation letter. (we even provide you a print page link)
  
• Ask you to complete your check and make it payable to the desired charity
  
• Finally provide you mailing address where to send your check.
  

You may preview the letter if you would like as well.

Click on the Finished button when you are completed. You will be brought back to the Condolences page to view other condolences and donations.
